Unlike the sharp edge climbing on the adjoining Crinkle Wall, Pocket Wall is rounded, pumpy and balancy.
Directions
From the Corbett Woods parking, walk back out of the car park and take a left down the access road.
Follow the road, down to the school house and then take the worn steps down on the right.
Continue past the Pancake and follow the path round to the left.

1 | Long Traverse | 6A+ | R-L Start at the lowest point of the buttress, stay low moving left with increasing difficulty to just before the pedestal blocks, climb the wall, until you can move left to easier and safer climbing along the lower traverse line on Crinkle Wall Lower Traverse following this to finish on the rounded arete of Ali Ba Ba. Reversing Pocket Traverse as a warm up to Long Traverse makes for a good long outing. |
2 | Pocket Traverse | 5 | L-R Start as for Long Traverse with feet on lower horizontal break stepping upto the next break which is followed and converges with the ground, finish on a flat ledge. |
3 | Slapper | 4 | Start below a small vertical crack at 10’ surrounded by bullet hole pockets, climb direct to the crackmoving up to finish with feet in a V slab notch. |
4 | Sprocket | 5 | 10’ right of Slapper is another short vertical crack 12’ up the wall beneath a small right angled corner.Climb the wall to reach the base of the crack good pinch pocket on right at the finish. |
